This is one home that showcases its owner’s personality, with plenty of colour and space to entertain. When this vibrant couple came to GN Williams to design and build their Shell Cove home, there was no denying their desire for a home that reflected their outgoing personalities.
The result is bold colours and large open entertaining areas. To make the best use of the block, our home design team positioned the two-storey home with living areas along the longer, northern boundary, maximising year-round sun.
Simple roof angles and rectangular shapes give the house a modest and minimal silhouette, not giving away the ample room provided inside. The gentle pitch and opposing angles give the exterior of the house an interesting shape and depth.
The house is finished in Scyon Matrix cladding in a combination of deep ocean blue and surf-mist, adding to the character and shape of the home. The lower level is finished in lighter colour brickwork.
Inside, the home features five bedrooms – two downstairs and three upstairs, providing an opportunity for an older parent or guest to be self-sufficient on the lower level. The laundry includes an extra-large tub for washing the fur-babies after a romp at the beach, and has direct access to the yard for obligatory post-wash runs.
The master bedroom upstairs gets the royal treatment of an expansive walk-in-robe and ensuite with an amazingly roomy shower area (you could run around in there) as well as its own wrap-around balcony with privacy screening that keeps the eyes out but lets the sun in.
Downstairs, the two guest bedrooms are located at the western end of the house, adjacent to the main entrance. The homeowners will usually use the garage entrance at the opposite end of the house, which has its own entrance via a mudroom.
This is a home that we’re sure owners, visitors and four-legged residents alike will love!
