A perfect case study of families, designers and builders working together, this 4-bed, 3-bath family home in Towradgi quite literally pushes the boundaries to tick off the client’s wish list and achieve a family home fit for now and in the future, leaving no view uncaptured and no light unused.
Most GN Williams homes, including this one, are built for between $500,000 and $1.5million.
Often clients have one main priority to achieve in their new home, but this Towradgi family worked with us to tick so many boxes including water views from every upper floor room. Now that requires some thought! With the end result a flexible and expansive home designed to grow as their family does, it was a blast to work on this project.
Soaring raked ceilings with high feature windows and a northerly aspect let the light flood into the living areas of this home, and an unusual but lovely design feature sees the timber used on the flooring continue up onto the kitchen island bench. We happily incorporated a clever idea from the owners, resulting in the capturing of a gorgeous northwesterly view of the rich escarpment bushland thanks to picture windows alongside the staircase.
Sitting on a small street amongst buildings that extend far towards the street boundary, the case was successfully made with council for the upper-level balcony and master bedroom of this home to extend out beyond the garage, in line with the surrounding homes. Negotiation with council resulted in an extra special master bedroom for this family with delightful park and ocean views.
